Suspension, steering and axles
Squeaks, knocks, instability and rough ride
Service Description
Every vehicle features springs, links and shock absorbers to isolate the body from the axles allowing them to follow the varying undulations in the road. Over time these components wear from absorbing the stresses of driving and can fail leading to reduced ride quality, potentially compromised driver control accuracy and in some cases damage to other components within the vehicle. The most common failures within suspension and steering systems are bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends and shock absorbers. These components take most of the forces and stresses exerted on the vehicle during normal use. While bushes and ball joints may last as little as 50,000 miles, most suspension components have an expected life exceeding 75,000 miles. Vibration and noise are usually associated with bushes, these will produce a squeak or knock when the suspension travels. Whereas failed shock absorbers continue to bounce after the suspension rebounds. If your vehicle has poor handling or poor ride quality, let our engineers take a look and keep your vehicle safe and comfortable.
